The mission of the Athletic Training Club is to allow athletic training students to join with other students in activities designed to enhance their knowledge of the Athletic Training profession by participating in professional development, community service, and social activities.
The objectives of the Athletic Training Club are to provide opportunities for students interested in the field of athletic training to explore the field more fully and to become acquainted with other students with similar interests.
The Athletic Training Club has been chartered at Winthrop University since 1999.
The club is active in professional development, community service and social events. Recent activities include attending a Bobcats game and seeing “behind the scenes” in the athletic training room with the Bobcats Head Athletic Trainer; attendance at the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Symposium; presentations at the South Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association High School Workshop; Adopt-A-Highway; and university intramural sports.
