  • January 2001
    • Beta Alpha Psi's National Board of Directors approves Winthrop University's application for the establishment of a petitioning chapter and on January 28, 2001 students at Winthrop University officially approve the creation of the chapter and hold elections for the first set of officers.  The officers are:
      • President - Melissa Kraus
      • Vice President - Greg Harmon
      • Reporting Secretary - Carmen Wright
      • Treasurer - Nic Ruff

     

  • March 16-17, 2001
    • The chapter sends two students and a faculty advisor to its first Regional Meeting in Orlando, FL.  They are Melissa Kraus, Carmen Wright, and Professor Charles Alvis.


     

  • April, 2001
    • The chapter holds its second officer elections.  The new officers are:
      • President - Jeremy Taylor
      • Executive Vice President - Ben Brantley
      • Vice President of Reporting - Mary Kathryn Bailey
      • Vice President of Finance - Amy Propst


     

  • August 9-11, 2001
    • The chapter sends fours students and a faculty advisor to its first National Meeting in Atlanta, GA.  They are Jeremy Taylor, Ben Brantley, Mary Kathryn Bailey, Dana Broome, and Professor Charles Alvis.  The chapter learns that in the short span of mid-Janaury to April, it was able to not only finish the complete year's baseline activity requirements, but also achieved a Chapter of Merit Award for its activities.


     

  • October 26-27, 2001
    • The chapter sends a representative to both the Graduate Case Seminar and the National Student Seminar in Bloomington, MN.  They are Jeremy Taylor and Dawn Lopez.


     

  • March 1-2, 2002
    • The chapter sends nine students and a faculty advisor to the Southeast Regional Meeting in Nashville, TN.  They are Jeremy Taylor, Amy Propst, Ben Brantley, Amy Schaefer, Terrill Hall, Sean Nelson, Nicole Read, Brenda Hyatt-Neal, Michelle Guissinger, and Professor Charles Alvis.


     

  • April, 2002
    • The chapter holds officer elections.  The new officers are:
      • President - Ryan Fandel
      • Executive Vice President - Amy Propst
      • Vice President of Reporting - Jeremy Taylor
      • Vice President of Finance - Michael Harling
      • Vice President of Service Projects - Christie Davis


     

  • August 11-13, 2002
    • The chapter sends four students and a faculty advisor to the National Meeting in San Antonio, TX.  They are Ryan Fandel, Amy Propst, Michael Harling, Jeremy Taylor, and Professor Charles Alvis.  The chapter earned the highest level of achievement in Beta Alpha Psi, becoming a Superior Chapter in its first full year of activity.  Even though the chapter is still a petitioning chapter, it is the only chapter in South Carolina to achieve the Superior Chapter award.


     

  • October 25-26, 2002
    • The chapter sends a representative to both the Graduate Case Seminar and the National Student Seminar in Bloomington, MN.  They are Brenda Hyatt-Neal and Jonathan Taylor.


     

  • November 23, 2002
    • The Winthrop University Petitioning Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is officially installed as the Kappa Rho Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi and the charter members are:
