ALUMNI RELATIONS


The Alumni Relations Committee is responsible for producing a newsletter to be sent to the alumni of the CBA each semester.  Members/Candidates of this committee will be working with the university's Alumni Relations office and Student Services as necessary to get the mailing lists and any other necessary information.


 

END OF SEMESTER PARTY


The End of Semester Party Committee is responsible for planning the social event  in November and March for the chapter.  This event will include the invitation of local businesses and recognition of those businesses and/or individuals that have sponsored the chapter during the semester.  In the case that initiations and officer installations have not been conducted at the time of these parties, these ceremonies will take place at this event.  The committee will plan the event out and present the plan to the Executive Committee for approval.


 

SPEAKERS


The Speakers Committee is responsible for working with the Faculty Advisors in scheduling speakers.  This includes polling the Members/Candidates for speaker topics, helping to make sure that the speaker knows what the topic is, how to get to the meeting, scheduling use of technology when necessary, meeting the speaker and escorting them to the meeting location, as well as sending a thank you letter to the speaker after the meeting.


 

PUBLIC RELATIONS / HISTORIAN


The Public Relations Committee is responsible for taking pictures at events and working with the Johnsonian and the University Relations office to publicize the activities of the chapter.  The Historian Committee is responsible for maintaining a scrapbook either in paper form or on the website.  This will include using the pictures taken by the Public Relations Committee and any publications that have news on the chapter.


 

JERSEYS


The Jerseys Committee is responsible for obtaining any apparel, jewelry, etc. that the chapter requires.  The committee will need to research possible vendors for the apparel to determine what is the best deal for the chapter.  Each member is to receive a BAP pin at their induction, a chapter t-shirt, a Graduation Medal when graduating, and a chapter golf shirt for serving as an officer or attending the Student Seminar or Graduate Case Seminar.  All orders to be placed will be reviewed by the Executive Committee and then paid by the Treasurer.


 

SERVICE


The Service Committee is responsible for coordinating the service projects during the semester, such as VITA.  The chairperson of this committee will be the Vice President of Service Projects.  The Members/Candidates of this committee will earn service activity credit for the time that they are involved in the onsite coordination of activities.  The chairperson of this committee will be the Vice President of Service Projects.

The committee is responsible for planning and running the VITA service and website (if necessary) for the chapter including scheduling of Members/Candidates to work.  The committee Members/Candidates will receive appropriate training early in the Spring semester.  All Members/Candidates receive professional activity credit for the training session prior to the event and service activity credit for working the event.


 

POSSIBLE CANDIDATES AND INITIATION


The Possible Candidates and Initiation Committee is responsible for working with the faculty advisors, and the chairs of the appropriate departments to make sure that eligible students are invited to rush BAP.  The committee is also responsible for planning the candidate rush event and the initiation event each semester.


 

BULLETIN BOARD


The Bulletin Board Committee is responsible for maintaining the BAP bulletin board on the first floor of Thurmond.  The board should be updated on a normal basis at the beginning of each month.


 

ANNUAL EVENTS


The Annual Events Committee is responsible for planning the Meet the Firms night and Firm walk-through's, field trips, or other regularly scheduled events other than the speaker events.
