CWC-HISTORY

Collegiate Women for Christ, otherwise known as CWC was founded in 2002 by Crystal Pressley and Candice Wright on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. CWC is a women's service organization committed to uplifting the Winthrop and Rock Hill Communities. The organization has completed numerous community service projects including, but not limited to programs with organizations such as Safe Passage, The Girls Home of Rock Hill, Park Avenue Adult Day Center, and the GEMS of Charlotte. The women of CWC pride themselves in being "virtuous women" as outlined in the Holy Bible in Proverbs 31:10-30. The organization's motto is: Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last, but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised (Proverbs 31:10-30). The organization's colors are purple and silver. The color purple represents royalty and wealth.
