Welcome to HEART (Helping Educate on Animal Rescue Today) updated 1/12/06

We are a student organization that volunteers our time with local shelters (lots of critters to play with!), does some fundraising for area shelters and selects one project for the shelters we work with to help accomplish.  Our members learn about rescuing homeless animals, animals in dangerous situations, the workings of running animal shelters and take the time to play with the pets.  We also promote animal assisted therapy.

Drop us a note at our e-mail: heart@pobox.winthrop.edu

Are you visiting our website from another College or University?  Would you like to begin your own chapter of HEART at your University or College?  Please let us know.

We send out the minutes of our meetings on e-mail to our volunteer list in case you miss something.  We also send out a campus-wide e-mail to let you know what events are coming up.

Meeting Schedule:  Tuesdays at 7 pm on the back porch of Java City

Our first meeting of the semester is January 17, 2006
