Brothers of Kappa Sigma, and all who are interested in our noble order, welcome to the home page of Nu-Upsilon. We have just recently finished our 18th year on the Winthrop Campus, but our fraternity has been producing outstanding leaders since its American founding in 1869 at the University of Virginia. Our fraternal bond is our commitment to excellence and adherence to the four pillars of Kappa Sigma: Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. The continued following of the values instilled in us by our five founders has allowed Nu-Upsilon to remain a chapter that lives by the words of the Star and Crescent.
The next year will soon prove to be another great one full of successes academically, fraternally, and elsewhere. With the hard work of a strong EC and every other brother we hope to continue to be number one in Winthrop's Greek community, as our fraternity is number one nationwide. As number one we will always strive to be on top and continue to raise the bar for others around us. Not all are privileged to call themselves brothers of Kappa Sigma, but those that have the qualities that befit a gentleman will find in Kappa Sigma a brotherhood that will help to totally develop them into better men.
If the time comes when you may call yourself a Kappa Sigma, you will become brothers with Congressmen, CEOs, Hall of Famers, journalists, and numerous other great men who have continued to raise the bar in their area of interest. As we enter the
2011-2012 school year, we will continue to work at making Winthrop University a better place for having Nu-Upsilon present on its campus.
