But Smokette won't come out from under Mommy and Daddoo's bed.
I told her she could sleep on my new big overstuffed pillow, but she wants to hide so the dog won't get her.
I told her the dog is gone but she doesn't believe me.
I showed her my pillow again and explained that it used to be the dog's and now that he's gone it is mine. She still doesn't believe me.
Mommy says Smokette is still in shock from when the dog attacked her.
Also, Mommy and Daddoo give her medicine that makes her feel funny and all she wants to do is sleep.

make up for the cancelation of the CL Cat Elections, Mommy said we
could
hold the first CL Catlympics.
Miss Malt watched the Human Olympics on TV and has declared herself an
expert (as usual).
Miss Malt said that due to the extended lifespan of Humans that we will hold
Catlynpics every year as opposed to every four years.
Categories will include:
Bathing
Bird Watching
Climbing
Jumping
Napping
Rail Walking
Squirrel Watching
Staring
Stretching
Yawning
I am expected to take the Gold in Jumping.
Smokie has years of experience in Squirrel Watching and even knows the word
Squirrel!
Smokette is a favorite in the solo Bathing category - but with her recent
hearing loss she may not be able to compete in the synchronized bathing
competition.
Maybe by 'mud-slinging' she meant "litter-flinging'...
So Mommy and Daddoo arranged for a compromise and appointed us in various positions:
Smokie - King
Smokette - Queen Mother
Milkshake - Secretary of Defense
Miss. Malt - Secretary of State
Spot - Court Jester
Daddoo - "He who Shall be Obeyed" and "The Putter Outer"
Mommy - "The Compassionate One" and "The Letter Inner"

So I'm always hungry and want to eat and eat and eat but I've lost weight and in May they had to shave me again because my hair got all matted up when I lost a lot of weight.
I have to take medicine every morning and every night. Mommy and Daddoo hide it in treats and think I don't know. But I do. But the strange thing is that over the past few weeks my hearing has been going away. Mommy will open the back door or shake the food bag and I don't hear it. Smokie is at least 15 now and I am 14 (in human years).
