Safe Passage

The Brothers of the Nu Chi chapter assist with a community service project by doing some

cleaning tasks and rejuvenation for Safe Passage.  Safe Passage is a nonprofit organization that is is

commited to providing quality services and advocacy with a multi-team approach to victims and survivors of

domestic violence, sexual abuse, and child abuse in the Rock Hill, SC area and many other areas that need

the support.  Safe Passage operates an emergency shelter for abused women and their children who need a safe,

temporary place to go. The maximum stay is 30 days; extensions may be granted based on individual circumstances.

The shelter staff monitors entrances and exits. The shelter is staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365

days a year. Abuse can fall into the following categories: physical, verbal, sexual, financial, emotional, and destruction

of property and/or pets.  Thank you Nu chi for continuing the legacy of phi beta sigma fraternity

and helping the community
