A Pennsylvania native, Amy Orsinger Whitehead has played flute in the Charlotte Symphony since 1997. Amy performs regularly for Chamber Music at St. Peter's, and also plays in the Rhodora Quintet and the Laurel Trio. She is founder of and instructor at Atlanta’s Sizzlin’ Summer Flute Fest, a yearly flute camp for young flutists in Georgia. Amy holds flute performance degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Institute of Chamber Music. She has taught flute and chamber music at Wingate University and is currently on faculty at Davidson College.
