Dear Winthrop Alumni Soccer Player:
It is that time of year again! We are in the process of making arrangements for another Alumni Soccer Game. The Alumni Game will be played on Saturday, April 12 at 2:00 PM. We will keep the same format from our 2006 Alumni Game. We will play a tournament of short sided games which will include the current Winthrop Team mixed in with the Alumns. We will have three or four teams involved in round robin play, with a Championship Game between the two top teams of round robin play. The games will be 20 mins. in length. As always we will try to have the most competitive games possible by having balanced teams from those who will participate.
I have reserved the Winthrop Golf Course from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon . We do not plan on an organized tournament, but wanted the course available to you so you can play with anyone you wish or play any type of format you may want. Due to the drought we have had, the course is not in good shape.
There will be a player reception after the game at the McHales Pub (Main Street) from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM.

We would like to ask your assistance in helping us with some information. Please complete the following form and return it to us by April 1, 2008. We have made every effort to get this information to all soccer alumni. If you know someone who may have been overlooked or has a recent change of address, please let us know or pass the information along to them. It is important that we get an accurate number of alumni and family members who plan to attend. Would you please complete the enclosed form and return it to the Soccer Office by April 1.
The Athletic Department has set policy that all alumni games must be self supporting. Therefore, we must ask each of you and your family members to pay. $20 for yourself and $5 for every family member over age 5 (that attend the reception at McHales.
