Winthrop University and the Rock Hill soccer community take great pride in Eagle Field.  Over the past several years the University has been hard at work to keep moving forward with renovations to the Winthrop Soccer Complex.  During the first phase the playing area was enclosed, the bench areas were upgraded, and a top-of-the-line Toro sprinkler system was added.  In the next phase we were able to add lights thanks to highly successful Buy-A-Light campaign supported by our friends, fans, and alumni of Winthrop University Soccer.  Our third phase was to add permanent seating (1,000) and a first class press box.  Also installed in this phase was a new state of the art sound system with rotating DAKTRONICS LCD scoreboard and message center.  In 2005, a new field house was constructed directly behind the main seating.  This facility includes locker rooms, storage, concession area, and a lounge for players and club members.  The main stadium was recently landscaped and brick and iron fencing was added. 
The goal is to fully fund the soccer program at the current NCAA scholarship limit.  Our goal is to compete at the regional and national level every year.  To accomplish this we will need your help to get as close to the NCAA equivalent scholarship level as possible.  We want you to join in our efforts to help raise the level of scholarships.  Our first Buy-A-Seat Campaign was very successful, selling all but a hand full of the 150 stadium-style chair-back seats included in our original seating design.
