about us
Every residence hall has a hall council. Hall council is responsible for addressing concerns in their hall. More importantly, each hall council is responsible for putting on social and educational programs for their residence hall.
The Resident Students' Association (RSA) is a unique student-run organization that exists to improve the quality of life of Winthrop University residential students by offering programs based on students' interests, as well as promoting a safe, supportive, and welcoming community.
Aside from being the fun and exciting group of people that we are, RSA is a creative and dynamic branch of the Department of Residence Life that serves the residents of the university. RSA addresses the problems, concerns, and questions that resident students may have, along with representing the collective interests of Winthrop's resident students to the Council of Student Leaders (CSL).
RSA provides social and educational events for individual residence halls and the college as a whole by organizing community building activities with other organizations on campus, and actively promoting diversity in activities and policies.
