Born Jamaican, resided in Jamaica for the first fourteen years of my life. There I attended St. Catherine Prep School, 1st through 6th grade and St Jago High School 7th and 8th grade. While attending these schools I played soccer, ran track and field, and played a sport not very well known in the US called Cricket. The summer I was supposed to move on to the 9th grade, I moved to Florida.
Moving to Florida was a big change in my life. To put it in four words, "I started
off fresh." It wasn't until after about two months that I got somewhat used to the
new environment, made some friends at my new school, Port St Lucies High School
. While at Port St Lucie High School, I played football, soccer and ran track.
By the end of my 9th grade year, I was wellknown because I excelled in all three
sports that I played, so I got alot of recognition. Education wise I was very
strong. I always made the honor roll and received awards for certain subjects. My
10th and 11th grade years were typically the same as my fresshman year. My senior
year in high school was very exciting. I was still getting good grades and
performing at thetop in athletics. I was highly recruited by division 1 teams for
all three sports and I had to make the biggest decision of my life yet. I chose
Winthrop University because the environment fits me, I like their Business
Program and thetrack program was just what I was looking for.
