      • A new meeting time was established.
      1. Monday Nights 8:30 p.m. in Kinard 312.
        1. Space Use Request – To be submitted by Brown & Oakes
      • The logo/mascot “Sym-Sym” as submitted by Marks was adopted by the Symposium.
      1. Head suggestion of Bertrand Russell was suggested by Long.
      • Website addition of notable Phil/Rel birthdays to calendar was suggested by Oakes.
      1. List will be compiled and submitted to Marks by interested parties.
      • Peer Journal/Paper Competition/Conference Preparation Task Force ideas were discussed.
      1.  Discussion to be continued.
      2. Possible prize money was suggested by Oakes.
      • Oakes was questioned as to possible Symposium attendance/participation in the 2009 Annual Meeting of the South Carolina Society for Philosophy to be held at Winthrop Friday, February 27 – Saturday, February 28.
      1. Marks will post up dates/ links on the website
      2. A possible link up of club members to facilitate attendance at conference functions was/will be discussed as details of the conference schedule are distributed.
      • The constitution for the Symposium was discussed.
      1. The group made suggestions and can review those on the web site.
      2. Submit any modifications to the group e-mail.
      3. Need for group expansion was discussed.
      • The group decided to pursue Marvin Croy as a guest speaker.
      1. Tentative date for his appearance is April 2nd.
      • Next meeting is scheduled for Monday February 23rd at 8:30 p.m. – Garnett will provide discussion materials prior to the meeting. Business concerns will be addressed for a few minutes prior to the discussion.
