Why Taekwondo

Why Taekwondo?

WU TKD Instructor

"Taekwondo is the most popular martial art form in the world. Practitioners number over 50 million in over 136 countries. Even though it is Korean developed, Taekwondo proves to be more than just an aspect of Korean culture, but a worldwide martial art that many people indulge in. The mind, body, and spirit are all enhanced through the activities we do in class. These include, but are not limited to, self-defense skills, learning the Korean language, volunteering, community service, learning Taekwondo history and philosophy. The benefits outweigh the reasons people make for not being involved with our organization, so make some time for a life changing decision and join Winthrop University's Taekwondo Club."
