SC Teacher Training for ESOL Add-on Certification

 

  

You will participate in 5 consecutive courses for a total of 15 graduate credits.

 

* Grant covers tuition and books

* You will be responsible for buying a Winthrop University parking sticker and paying for the Praxis II for ESOL.

 

* The next cohort begins in January 2009.

* The five courses are:

READ 651:  Teaching Reading & Writing to Learners with Limited English Proficiency, Spring 2009

MLAN 503:  Applied Linguistics, Summer 2009

ENGL 630:  The New Grammars, Summer 2009

READ 656:  Principles and Strategies for Teaching ESOL to Elementary & Secondary Learners, Fall 2009

EDUC 655:  Practicum in the Instruction of ESOL to Elementary & Secondary Learners (completed in your classroom, if possible), Spring 2010
