Currently, WINR broadcasts on Campus Cable Channel 99 and via the
internet, which can be accessed here. WINR DJs are on the air from
4pm-midnight 7 days a week, excluding holidays and breaks.
WINR uses a program clock that DJs
adhere to for playing spot breaks, sweepers, legal IDs, news and
weather.
Prospective DJ's are invited to
apply online. Airshifts are open to anyone, regardless of Major or
prior experience. During each semester, we usually end up having
vacancies, so apply anytime! Each DJ has a two hour shift, which
they are entirely responsible for the content, minus the news
produced by Mass Communications classes and Public Service
Announcements.
The WINR studio is located upstairs
in 231 Johnson Hall on the Stewart Avenue side of the Winthrop
Campus near Ebenezer Street. Office Hours are by appointment only.
WINR is entirely student-run by
General Manager Andrew Kiel, Program Director Jeremiah Coble, Assistant Program Director Crystal Butler
and Music Director Seth Clossman. The faculty adviser is Mass
Communication Professor
Haney Howell.
